Beet Juice

Well, last week I was able to baptize another investigator. It was great! To answer your question about my hands, I have been taking a medicine which is basically beet juice. It's horrible tasting, but seems to be working and clearing up the spots. I am still looking for the Retinol A stuff. Sorry I can't send pics because I left the camera at home. This morning has been a little crazy. We have been cleaning the house, washing garments, taking clothes to the wash lady and mopping. We have been really busy.

This last week, we also met a lady who makes bracelets and necklaces and she taught us how to make a few. It was really nice of her. We also woke up a little earlier one morning to go play soccer with some members and investigadors. I was surprised because we won by 5 points. ha ha!

Last night we taught a great lesson about missionary work to a few members. We taught them Alma 17 with Ammon being a missionary and how he worked. Good stuff. I have to laugh, Mom, because I also taught Relief Society yesterday! Never thought I would do that! That was about missionary work, too. At the end of the class, we made a challenge with the sisters to bring at least 1 person to church next Sunday, which means that they have to open their mouths during the week to fulfill this. Can't wait to see what happens there.

Speaking of which, I thought I would comment on the trio that you have going on there with your missionaries. It's nice that you are helping the missionaries, but if they are staying too long, that can hurt them too. There work is to go and teach people, not stay in the houses of members. Yesterday, I got a nice comment from a sister in testimony meeting when she said, I am thankful for the missionaries because they come visit us once and a while. Once and a while, I thought. That's good and it should be that way. I have not been called to serve in the Palmer home. I have been called to serve in the El Salvador, San Salvador mission and if I have no reason to be in a member's house, then I won't be there. Please help them with this, Mom. If they need incentive, tell them they will baptize more.
Yes, you need to use the member, but not abuse them. Work with your head and not your feet.

Well, I need to go.
I love you guys. Take care and I pray for you always.
