Pues gracias por la carta. Me encanta mucho. Oh, y felize cumplianos a Logan. Puchica 18. Ojala que todo sus desaos pueden cumplir. Lo siento me voy a cambiar a ingles para que pueden entender.
I am laughing at all the Latins right now because they think its winter when its only 65-70 degrees outside. They all walk around in a sweater or a jacket. I am thinking to myself, "Thank you, Heavenly Father for such good weather to work in". They think I am crazy. ha ha Well, other than the weather, people are getting ready for Christmas and it makes me so happy to see the lights go up. Last year I was in the MTC. Down here there is no snow, but there are fireworks. So, we will be batting down the hatches getting ready for what's going to sound like WWIII that's about to come. They sure like their fireworks here. The nice thing about my area is that it's on the side of a volcano and we have a view of the whole capital. So Christmas should look like the Fourth of July.
Speaking of Christmas, I would like to thank the Stake Presidency for the wonderful Christmas card they sent. It meant a lot to me and I know that we are so blessed to have them as Stake leaders. As missionaries a lot of time we talk about home and the Church and I have to say I have not come across anyone yet in the mission who has done as much as our Stake has. When much is required, much is given. I would have to say that's 100 % true in this.
As far as the work goes, I am getting ready for new people to come to the mission. It gets real hectic because I need a lot of help from the MTC in Guatamala. Right now they really aren't much of a help. I am in need of missionary papers, however, they must be at lunch a lot because no one picks up the phone. The times they do answer, they just tell me to send an email. It's funny because this all happened yesterday and the email system was down, so I asked them to please help me. Well, I got put on the back burner. So, Monday will be real busy trying to get passports and other papers ready for the new missionaries and immigration. I love the work, it's just a little difficult to do sometimes when it's in the hands of others that don't feel the urgency to get the work done.
In the investigator stand point we have a few good invetigators. One is called Vladamire. His propblem is he smokes a lot, but he really likes the Church. He is the only one in his family who isn't baptized. It's because everyone just pressures him to do it and he wants to feel the desire himself and not someone elses plan. We have another lady, Maria who is moving fast in the gospel. A week ago we left her a Book of Mormon and told her to read the intro. Well, she did and more. She read up to Mosiah. In one week. She really likes the stories. Well, we are trying to baptize her the 18th. It depends all on whether she comes to church or not.
Last thing before I go. I had tamales last week and it was a dinner appointment. In the middle of the tamale I got a little surprise. It was the head of the chicken. I didn't know how to eat it and so I left it on the side. Hermana Rivas showed me how to eat it. Let's just say that it was weird and not really my favorite thing on the menu. First, you suck the eyes out and I guess there's a little meat on the head. All I got was skin. Not a fan. Anyway, food is food. I have really grown in this area and applied the "Over the teeth, over the gums, look out stomach, here it comes!" principle and hope it passes quick. ha ha aha aha ha.
Well I love you all. Take care. Que lo vaya bien, vaya con dios. Salu.
