Hi y'all its that time of the week again where I get to make a ton of spelling mistakes and write like crazy. Thank you so much for those of you who have written me. Good to know that life is real outside of the MTC. To answer a few questions: We don't get to watch news. Our media is very limmited. Rightly so, I believe it helps us stay on task.
Some updates on the week. I got to meet a guy from the Ukrain. He lives in Durinca, I think that's how you spell it. Anyway we don't have a lot of research options outside of the church website, if I could get more info on that place it would be nice. He has been the only person to say my last name correctly without help. I was so happy.
This week in the RC I did some phone calls and 1 of the calls a lady just wanted to know more about the church. So through that process we got deep into discussion and in the end she walked away with, 2 Bibles 2 Book of Mormons and the missionaries in her area are going to talk to her and then go to her mom's house to teach more about the church. That was a fun RC visit. I don't know if I have told you guys any more about Tajza. She fell through and never met us again. That was sad to see her go. But with all bad comes good. Because last night we had another really good investigator. Her name is Kadie. She has been in and out of orphan homes alot in her life and things have been tough for her. She had one part in her life that just made me cry. I felt really bad for her. I can't talk about it, but we share a message about Christ to her and she was able to feel the Spirit. She is trying to pray. That was one of the commitments we left her. So we will see how that goes if she gets back on the computer tomorrow. We also talked a little about Joseph Smith and the trials he went through as a prophet...and believe me, he had a few... ok alot. So we talked about him. Ultimately, we got to the Book of Moromon. She had seen the B.O.M. in one of her foster homes and didn't think much of it. It is really interesting and cool to see how 1 little book can change someones life. I know there is testimony in this book. Having read and reading it now I know it is true. Alot of time we take for granite what the writers of this book went through to get it to us. I know that Nephi was able to accomplish the things he did due to the power of the priesthood. Alma and Amulek were protected due to their obediance. This book is all about missionary work. I know alot of you have been already challenged to read this book. If you are reading it, I encourage you not to just read it, but take time to study it out, put yourself in the shoes of the prophets. If you aren't reading it, maybe now is the time to start. I know you might have tried many times to read it as a family or by yourself all the way through and it is tough to be consistent, but it takes diligence. Set goals and reward yourself for your goal. I know that if you read the Book of Mormon and pray about it, you will be able to receive many blessings from doing so. This book was a book written for us as a people no matter how old or young you are in life. I love you all and take care.
