This past month (yes, it's been a month!) has been about growing up. First of all, Reid had a birthday on the fifteenth, the same day as Father's Day this year. He turned twelve and is feeling not only the responsibility of the age, but also the notoriety of being a true preteen. It's amazing how just one day can change a boy! Because it was Sunday the day of his birthday, he was able to receive the priesthood. He has been looking forward to this for a long time and is excited for this opportunity to serve more and even be more "part of the guys". That Tuesday he went to his first youth activity (a swim party) and loved it. The next Sunday was a remarkable site. There they were, sitting in a row, Erik, Alex, Logan and Reid, ready to pass the sacrament together, helping Reid with his new responsibility. My heart was full to know that these young men and their father were such great examples and worthy to hold such an important calling. Reid has always been involved in Scouting, but now he is able to participate in more activities, especially Scout Camp at the end of this month. He is so excited to go to Moab! Most of all, Reid is growing into a very caring, responsible, handsome and loving young man. We love Reid!
