The Day After

We seemed to make it through the holiday without any bumps or bruises, which is really good considering Reid got a skateboard for Christmas and the rest of us are just accident-prone! It was a beautiful, chilly day here in Las Vegas and that didn't seem to bother anyone. The boys were decked out in their brand-new pajamas, hot chocolate was on the stove, Grandma Dyer saved breakfast and brought her Christmas stollen and their was definitely excitement in the air. Erik got a GPS system for his truck so he'll never be lost, Tami got a new suped-up camera, and the boys received various electronics and essentials. Soon after the gifts were open, however, Tami had to head off to work (t.v. doesn't quit on the holidays). The next day we all decided to head out to lunch then take a chilly ride up to the mountain to look at the snow. Normally we would get out into it, but decided to wait until next month when we all didn't have coughing, sneezing, feverish colds. It was beautiful up there and we long for the days when we lived in Idaho. When we got down from the hill, we raced over to the movie theater and caught the latest flick, "National Treasure". Good movie...long, but good. We sure hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will be able to carry the spirit throughout the year.
