Party Animal

Happy New Year! This is definitely the season of parties...and it doesn't just stop with people. Dogs and cats actually have their own little get-togethers and let it loose. Yes, it's true. We weren't really sure that this was true until last night...New Year's Eve. Our family had eaten, and eaten and eaten, then played games and conversed with friends and family. Everyone was having a great time. The dog, Maddie, was even fortuneate to get a few scraps from the kitchen. About 11:30pm, we decided to pack everyone up in the car (except for the dog, of course) and head towards downtown Las Vegas to watch the fireworks display at the casinos. Although the fireworks weren't quite as spectacular as years before, they were still entertaining, as well as the ones our teenage sons decided to light. When the show was over, we drove home to find that a party had gone on at the house without us! Yes, our one, sweet, cute, lovable dog Maddie had a party of her own in the kitchen. She had managed to knock over the garbage can that was left out (and had all the table scraps in it). She must have had a wonderful time because there really wasn't much left in the garbage and her belly was real tight. Hmmmmmm. Needless to say, she was satisfied and had a great time at home. Lesson to owners learned...

That is so funny! Our dog, Max, is just like that too! We have a Mini Schnauzer. We love him and he is part of our family, just like, I'm sure, your dog is!

All I have to say is: don't let the cute sweater fool you! She basically owns the house.
