What a week, again!!!! Seriously, whatever you guys are doing back home is helping out quite a bit. 61 contacts, 18 lessons, two new families and the list goes on. In fact, I think I will start with Sunday. We had some random family show up at church andliterally ask us to be married and baptized. WWWHHHHAAAAAAAAAAATTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! I needed to take a moment after church to check my pulse. It was insane and not only that, but they have a friend in the branch. Can you say golden family????? I literally don'tknow what to say in prayers anymore to thank my Heavenly Father. I don't have words. I know this Gospel is true. So not just that family, but also another one (who might be a little bit more difficult, but none the less, a good family). This man in the first lesson basically asked us about all the other lessons we have to teach him and then when we came back, his wife wanted to know even more about Adam and Eve and what happened to them. Their only hang up is that they don't know if this is the correct church to go to (and we all know there's only one way they will find out...). Also, that me and Elder Poyfair can only scream so loud that IT'S RIGHT HERE!!!!!! The Spirit doesn't shout, it whispers, so we are waiting to see what was whispered. They have to ask. Sometimes that little show of faith is the hardest thing to get people to do. With a sincere heart and real intent. Two awesome families added to the list.
In other news this week, sadly we had to let the dreads guy go. :( He just wasn't coming to church. Just goes to show that faith without works is nothing (James 2: 17, read that chapter, it's like a recipe for success). Also, our other families are doing great. We have a lesson with them tonight. Two of them at the same time. Its going to be sweet. So that's basically the way it is on my side.
Mission life in the house is basically the same. I will try those suggestions that you sent Mom (thank you). Oh, yeah. I almost forgot, we went to the beach today. That was super fun. We played football and soccer and it was a blast. Unfortunately, during the soccer game one of the new elders in my house (oh yeah, got a new elder... more on him in a bit) twisted his knee cap and it looked like it hurt but it didn't look like anything major, thank goodness. We carried him to the car and got him to a private hospital where he could get medical attention. Just kind of a side thought, you would think with all the missionaries there we would have thought to offer a prayer and offer the timeless words, "We pray that NO ONE GETS HURT", but I guess sometimes you have to learn the hard way. I don't think I want to know the number of accidents that have been prevented because of those words. Only Heavenly Father knows that number, but don't forget to exercise your faith. If you haven't noticed a theme this week, I hope by pointing it out you can see it now. I do feel as though these miracles in our zone and mission are brought as a result of missionaries exercising their faith in the One who created them and by the faith and works of everyone back home.
