I can't wait to go on the lake again, that's nuts!! ha ha ha
Of all the pictures you guys sent, I think the one that made me the most trunky was the one in front of the San Diego temple. It sounds like everyone had a really good week this week between all the busy stuff that went on and the trips and the birthdays.
This week we had a visit with President Kretly and he got us all hopped up on spiritual goodies and stuff. I love President Kretly! That man is a genius. I don't know if you guys know who this guy is, but you definitely need to look him up. He is super cool! This week he talked to us about the vision that he has for Mozambique and he basically said that in two more years there will be four stakes here. It's nuts! He talked a lot about what we need to do to become more effective missionaries as far as our planning goes and I have a book full of stuff that I won't unload on you right now, but it's really good. He also taught a seminar on the seven habits of highly successful people to the branch here in Beira. It's basically what he does in his professional life and he is really good at it. When he gives trainings, it's definitely his strong point.
Also, this week we had four whole families at church and they are preparing for marriage and baptism. We found some new couples and they're on track for baptism as well, so we are being super blessed right now and I am kind of hoping I don't get transferred, but I know if the Lord needs me somewhere else, I can go and help out there. I learned a new way of doing missionary work here and I don't think I am going to change the way I do it now for a long time because its so effective.
As for your other question, we have a water filter and it works great. Clean water really isn't a problem. The biggest problem is probably the dirty dishes. We're working on that.
Other than that, not much is happening this week. I am excited to hit my year mark, which is really weird to say because it doesn't seem that long ago that I was just starting out. So time is flying and I am hoping I can just keep this momentum going until the end.
Thanks for all the letters from everybody, especially Grandma Proksch (you're a superstar Grandma!). For some reason, your letters always get to me no matter where I am.
Sorry this letter is kind of short, I am running low on time, but I want to write more next week.
I love you all,
Elder Proksch
