So this week has been nuts. Between helping other elders with another marriage and baptisms and just stuff, it's a miracle we were even able to do work in our area this week. On Saturday we had a collective marriage again and three couples were married. The missionaries were everything...involved with the ceremony from photographers to waiters at the reception (checking off service hours this week). It really made a difference when we had the baptisms this Sunday. We baptized a whopping 23 people at one baptismal service!!!!!!! That was just the work of two elders.... Elder Croft and Elder Hales are going to be in the Deseret News in a few weeks with their pictures and all the people they baptized. It was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing.
This week in our area we got a whole bunch of people baptismal dates... 17 to be exact. That doesn't mean all of them will make it to baptism, but it sure is great to see so many people preparing for baptism and this next week we are going to be preparing them for marriage. There are some families that I am extremely excited about. Most of these families we found in the past week. Our area is getting little, well, a lot of heavenly help and it's growing and making progress. President Kretly is just loving our zone right now and is extremely pleased with us and is continuing to ask how we can push ourselves further. I think that man is determined to get this placed lifted up like the city of Enoch. It's nuts! Just when you think you can say, "OK, now we are achieving the vision that he wants", he expands it even more and we're all just like"Whooooaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!"
That's why I'm making goals to start being more committed in this work. I feel like I am keeping parts of myself in reserve or just not giving my all sometimes, so I think I am going to see what I can do to become more committed to this work a little more. I want to see how far I can push this and make a difference.
On the home front... it's good to hear all of that stuff that is going on and P.S. Happy Birthday REID!!!!!!! Holy cow! 17 years of age ha ha ha! That is so cool, driver's licenses and everything. I wish I could be there to tell you para bens (congrats) and go do something crazy for your birthday (like sky diving) if your up to it. If not, that's totally cool. Way to go! I hope it's a great day and a great week for you. Go hang out with friends and junk like that.
Also, Happy Father's Day dad! Just gotta give a shout out TO MY PAAAH!! ha ha ha! But all kidding aside, I really appreciate all that you do for me and what a great example I have. Some day I hope to be at least half the man that you have been in my life.
Also, thank you guys for all the work that you do and the prayers that you have said in my behalf. They are working !!!!!!
Sorry this letter is short. I will write more next time
love,
Elder Proksch
