A Little Bit of Everything

Wow!  Sweet hand, Reid! ha ha ha  It's good to know that you guys aren't falling apart over there and I'm glad you enjoyed the photos of stuff. No, I don't have to get a booster shot for my yellow fever card (trust me, I'll be fine. Yellow fever is not in this part of Africa).  As for the dentist, I heard you loud and clear. I will not be doing anything as far as the dentist goes, with the exceptions of the cleanings. Thank you for the advice about dental care I will put it to good use.

Oh my holy cow...my cousin is getting married!  I only wish I could be there. That is so cool!  She gets to go through the temple.  By the way, mad props for the guys that's marrying her.  That's exactly how it should be... temple or nothing.  On the flip side of that coin, I am so sad that I can't be there right now.  I wish I could because I know I could go through to see it, but I'm a little tied up in Africa trying to get other people to go to the temple ha ha ha.  Tell Olympia I said "Happy Birthday" (I don't want to be kicked out of the family cause I'm not there... ha ha  Love you, Bodrero's).  As for Alex, um.... have you thought of maybe playing Fugitive? Maybe that's not such a good idea with that many people?  Maybe try something spiritually uplifting.  There's a book somewhere in the house that's called "A Book of Missionary Teaching Tools".  It has Joseph Smith on the cover.  There is a great idea about teaching the Plan of Salvation by using a plane crash and it's super cool.  If you can find it, I would definitely use it.

It's also really cool to hear about the private violin concert that you got.  I just love music and the way it brings the Spirit.  By the way... Reid is going to be a senior next year!  Man, I feel like a senior citizen!! ha ha  But, seriously, that is super cool!   That also means he will graduate before I get back (looking forward to that).

So, this last past week was pretty rough as far as missionary work goes. Ugh!!  It's like nobody wanted to talk to us, but when Sunday came around, everyone was at church.  Guilty conscious?  don't know, but I was super glad they were there.  Not much to report though.  It was a pretty uneventful week. I didn't have a chance to see Conference because we were busy taking care of the primary kids while their parents watched the sessions.  That's kinda hard.  You never really know how much you miss Conference and the Prophet until you can't see it.  Oh well!  I think we will get the DVD's or the Liahona soon, so it's not bad.

On the topic of Mother's Day, I have no idea.  Sorry, I wish I could tell you more in relation to that, but I don't even know what day it will be on and judging by the way missionaries handle stuff, I probably won't know until the week before, but I will try to get some info before then so you can have an idea.

I love you guys and I hope your week goes well!
Love,  Elder Proksch
