Well, this weekend has been so much fun. I just have to say that President Eyring is so cool. He is always smiling. It's contagious. I felt the Spirit various times this last week and many prayers were answered. I cried like a little baby in the temple dedication, but hey, real men cry at things about the church and the Lord. When we let Him change us, the change is more then we could ever imagine and we become better then we could ever imagine or thought we could be.
I have to tell you that President Eyring told us to trust in the Lord. He has his purposes. I know it sounds tough, but remember that He is also trying us to make us stronger. Remember Joseph Smith even taught that our tribulations are not yet like Job's. Remember the Savior had decended below them all. Just look ahead at the light and example of our Savior Jesus Christ, the Son of God and our Everlasting Redeemer. Have faith in Him and follow his light and like President Eyring says, "It will all work out.
I know it may seem like there are mountains in the way, but it will work out because you know who made those moutains....he did. So, do you think he can take them out of the way? Well, I don't know about you, but I think he can."
This morning we went to San Vicente, which is about 2 and a half hours from my house where the ZL's live and we didn't get back about till 4:30 to the area which is why I am writing right now so late. Let's just say I stink, but I have my books and after this I am going to a family home evening. What a way to spend a Monday. Honestly, could not be better. Why you might say? Well, this morning we got a ride from a total stranger to about half the distance of where we were going, but we taught the man while we rode there. I honestly can't take any credit for anything I said. One, because I can't remember anything I said and two, I just feel like I am being carried be the Spirit. The spirit taught the 1 2 3 lessons though me and my companion in about 1 hour and a half. Something that takes normaly 3 to 4 hours to teach. It came out smooth and 100 percent understandable. The man told us he would be at the church this Sunday. We said o.k. and he said that he is looking for a change in his life and just hasn't found it yet. He has been in almost all the other religions but ours and said he was willing to give it a try. So if we see him, I will let you know.
I just want to bear testimony that the Lord and the Spirit work in mysterious and small ways. I know they love us and want the best for us. So, just be willing and let the Lord work with you, not you with the Lord.
I love you all and see you guys soon.
