Thinking of Home

Elder Proksch's letter for this week...

Thanks for the lovely letter, Mom. I guess I just forgot to send this picture of me in front of the temple a long time ago, but yes, I have been able to see the temple here and actually we are going there as a zone today, just outside to see it. It should be fun. We still can't get in until the open house, though. That's going to be huge!

Well, this next weekend we are looking at having about 5 baptisims. Booooyaaaaaaaa! Nothing makes a missionary happier. The other day it hit me just how close my mission is to ending. Oh my goodness... it's like only 4 months. I think I am going to trip over myself! It can kind of make one home sick sometimes, but it's awesome too at the same time. By the way, yesterday I ate a gigantic mango and I will send the photo. It's about the size of my head, no kidding.

It's great to hear how things are going back home. I guess some congratulations are in order. Like, congrats Logan and Reid for completing another year in school. If you don't already, hopefully you are going to really appreciate the importance of learning. Well, at least I do and some days I just want to keep learning and learning. Knowledge truly is power. Reid, you are going to be so old.. 15! Now just don't start getting all wrinkly on me, ok? Happy Birthday!

Dad, it's your day coming up. Happy Father's Day. Just kick back, relax for a while and don't over work yourself. Take a break, you deserve it.

Yesterday I was reading the scriptures and right now I am in Mosiah. I love that book! It's so interesting and I am about to get to Abinadi again. The people were so obedient and that blessed them so much. It's that simple.

I love you all.

Brother, Son, Missionary,
Elder Proksch
