Changes

This week we had changes and my old companion left and I am still here in the office. My new companion is super cool. His name is Elder Romero. I have a picture I'm sending with the letter. It's funny, in this picture is my old companion and my new companion. My new companion only has had 1 change in the mission and is in the office. He is also the one who is balding. I know it's not right, but it makes me laugh. He is also a professional chef. So, I have been learning a lot from him. We like to mess around when we walk to our appointments sometimes. We tell jokes and laugh about life before the mission. He also worked in a call center so he can speak English. I know this next change is going to be super fun and it's going to fly by.

The next change I am getting out of the office. My companion is going to be the new migratorio so, in six weeks I will be writing on Mondays again. ha ha Well, after that I only have 4 and a half months to go. I'm not getting baggy or trunky as the missioniaries in the States say, but I am getting excited. So much is going to happen in these next few months... change in mission president, new temple and a whole bunch of other things. Life goes on.

Right now we are preparing a girl to be baptized next week. Her sister yesterday witnessed a guy get shot. It was actually the guy she was talking to who got blown away in front of her face. It's very sad to hear her story and she is very shaken because of it. Before she smoked and drank, but I think that lifestyle might be changing now, due to recent events. We are doing a little damage control with her.

You guys might have heard about the tsunami in Japan and the earthquake. They evacuated La Union, a part of the mission, but after that I didn't hear of anything more.

You were asking about if we do time changes here. We don't move the clocks forward or back. I guess the earth does not tilt enough to have to worry about that here in paradise.

I know the Church is true, the mission is the best place in the whole world and what I do now in life I know will help shape and mold me for the remainder of this life and the one to come. Stay steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works.

I love you all, take care. I pray always for you guys,
Elder Proksch
