Purple Socks

Thanks for the letter and all the support. I guess, to start, I better answer some of your questions.

I am not sleeping in a hammock right now and I am a little excited about leaving the office. It's going to be nice not having to worry about imagracion and having short work hours any more.

I think I am good on pants, shirts, and everything else, but socks are always welcome. It's not that my old ones are bad, it's that one of my companion's took some of mine and I have some others that I still have, but have been washed so many times they have changed form black to purple. he he They seem to hold up pretty good, though.

Other than that, I am fine. Things here in El Salvador are normal, like always. Just trying to baptize. It get's hard when you have the people and they know the Gospel is true, but they just don't want to follow it. They have a testimony, but aren't quite humble enough to submit to the Lord's ways. So we end up having to leave them because I have been called to bring them to baptism. The field is white and ready to harvest, not green turning gold then white to harvest. Yes, it's true sometimes we have to plant a seed, but that doesn't mean that we plant the seed, water it, grow it, and harvest. The Lord works fast and through small and simple things.

Anyway, I haven't eaten anything weird this last week, actually on the contrary. I did have some stomach issues, so I used Brother Stewart's trick to get rid of that: lots of water and half a bottle of Pepto Bismol. Half a day and you are normally good. If it doesn't go away, then you might have more serious problems.

Things are going good with my new companion. Mom, Dad, Logan, Reid...I hope you guys are doing all you can to stay firm in the church. The adversary is doing all he can to bring us down, even by small and simple things. The home is the fortress we have against him and if we are not doing all we can to guard against him, then how do we expect to attack him by bringing others to the church? I personally believe that it is how we can stay converted to the Gospel. Give out the Book of Mormon if you are having a bad day and want to bash Satan in the head. That's how I do it. I love you all and take care
