Squash

A lot has happened and then, not much has happened at the same time. It's a hurry up and wait thing this week. To start off, about the family that we're to baptize....they didn´t "go under water" as dad says. The guy basically ditched us and at night he didn´t want to get up and answer the door. Well, that's ok because I am not giving up on him. I know he needs to get baptized and he knows it, too, he just has to get over his fears and have faith. I will baptise him in the gutter, if needs to be or in the river by his house. I am a little frustrated because he has been dragging his feet for 3 months now. grrr. Well, that's basically the work, plus a lot of divisions are going out with members of my district to see how things are going. To keep an eye on things, I guess. Sometimes that has been kinda boring. I have learned that some people really just aren´t that clean. Like rooms that smell like BO. One night I even tossed some alcohol on the bed to hopefully sterilize it. Yes, it was a little bit gross. I actually just wanted to burn it.

Last night I tried squash here. It was very different because they eat the whole thing...seeds and skin. We had it green, boiled and with salt and hot sauce.

As far as plans for today, we are celebrating the end of the mission for a few missionairies. We are breaking a piñata, then I've got to go clear out to the office to pick up the packages for the whole zone. Sorry to keep things really short this week, I just plain don´t have time for much right now. Just keep praying for the Lord to help me in my tasks. By the way, Wednesday is changes and I think I am getting a new companion. That's not all that great because I really like him and we get along good together. We can see when the other is having problems and we know what to do to help. That's such a blessing.
