Bike 2

Good to hear things are going great in the new calling and service, if done in the right manner, always puts a smile on my face. Wow, I can´t believe a summer has already gone by in the mission! You really don´t feel time. It's like birthdays, Christmas, Halloween all goes on pause. I know it really doesn´t, but that's what it feels like.

Well, this past week much has happend and not a lot at the same time. By that I mean one can prepare a ton, but if nothing turns out, it wasn´t worth it. I conducted my first baptismal interview as a District Leader to a 18 year old girl named Marisol. That was cool and she was really prepared. I was a little nervous at first because I can´t do it with a companion or else that might throw the outcome of the interview, so I felt a little lonely, but everything turned out fine and she is going to be getting baptized this weekend.

Saturday I got the chance to hop on a road bike again and I rode about 46 kilometers or 30 miles. I maxed out at 75 kilometers per hour. I don´t know what that is in mph, but if you could do the math or find out for me that would be great. I want to know how fast I went. The guy I rode with was very inpressed and while I was on the bike, my companion was in the car next to me and was teaching little tid bits of what we belive to the guy in the car. When we got back, I showered and we went back to his house to teach him the Word of Wisdom. He is amazed at the discipline the Mormons have and likes challenges. His name is Nelson and his friend Jesus. So that was the ride. Sunday we had Stake Conference and I saw another General Authority, Elder Maritino. Supposedly he served his mission in El Salvador, but his Spanish has slacked off quite a bit since. I guess if you don´t use it, you lose it. He gave a really good talk . I felt really good when President Perez and his wife talked in the conference. I always feel good when they talk because they are the embassadors of the mission. Overall, it was a good week and I hope this week follows.

Today after I finish writing, I have to go to a members house because they need a blessing. So that's always a good sign. Could be an opportunity also to share a spiritual message hopefully some investigators.

Well, know that I love you all very much and pray for you often. I keep you all in my payers and am growing in this Gospel in ways that I never imagined.

Take care. Love y te amo,

Elder Proksch
