Wow, how are you all doing in Vegas? For those of you who don´t know, today is changes in the mission field. Aahhhhhhh fun! Not. I got an area change this past week. I am now in a hotter, more dry area and it's really hot. It's called Santa Rosa de Lima. Look it up on a map or something and maybe do some research on it. Kinda cool area. It feels like the area straight out of Looney Lunes. You know, the one with Daffy Duck in the desert scene. Cow heads on fences and cactus every once in a while. Really all quite funny. Anyway, I am also training in my new area and they have me opening an area too which means no more 2nd councilor to the branch president. I find out who my new companion is on Wednsday. I have to get up at 2:30 in the morning to go to the capital (San Salvador) by bus and pick up my new companion. Should be fun. My new house is sweet. Mom, you asked if I was getting into a groove. Well, the key word is "was". I just got my snow globe shaken up. Time to start over, but hey, I am getting used to it by now.
I just got a letter today from the Stake Pres. talking about some of the same stuff he said in conference. Pretty sweet talk from what I hear and yes, missionary work is pretty cool. About the part of missions baptizing a lot, recieving more missionaries, yes, we are going to be receiving 50 new missionaries this year.
I feel like there is not alot of advice I can give my brothers because I am so far away, but this I can say: I know this Gospel is true. I have read the books and prayed and felt it in my heart. There have been times when I wanted to give up really bad, but I am not going to because I know the church is true and I won´t give up on the Lord. Every missionary comes on his mission for a reason and for each one it's personal. My reason is to gain more of a testimony and to help the people of El Salvador in their struggles. Never, never, never lose sight of your goals and chip away at them even if sometimes its one piece at a time. Know that I love you Reid and Logan. There is more to this Gospel that you could ever imagine. If there is any way I can help you in the least little bit, let me know.
About the earthquake in Chile, I have four good friends down there right now and I hope that they are ok. Thank you for all your prayers. Take care.
