Felize san Valentino
Oh my gosh! Ok, yesterday was church and I totally forgot that it was Valentine's Day. When you're in the mission, you kinda forget about things like that. Anyway, the president of the branch was taking a break from directing the branch and my companion was leading the meeting. About 5 minutes in I find out I have a talk on love that no one decided to tell me about. I pulled the talk off, not as well as the sister who had all week to prepare, though. Funny though how justice is short served because after the meeting my comp and a few other missionaries were like "good talk!" half joking and half serious. Well, next week they are all talking. HAhahaha. Oh, it pays to be humble.
Thank you so much for all the tips on health and cures. They are going to help so much. I think if I can, I am going to fill the room with garlic for my mosquito problem. Just joking.
Glad you liked the package I sent. When I have a bad day or sometimes just need a good snack for a change I will eat those cookies or peanuts. I want to send you some candy. I swear they put crack in it. Some of the candies are really good its nice to have a change of flavor from beans every seven days.
Side note about the hammock ...every house here has one and I have been watching how they hang them. I figured out that the more rope that you put on the ends the more comfertable they are. More rope means further apart on you hanging points. I thought that the two post on the patio of the house would be a good spot.
Since being here I have learned how to cook a few things. Pupusas and a couple of their fruit drinks. They have one that is banana milk ice and cinnamon mixed in to a milk shake form. They call it licuado. I know how to make beans however you like. Really, I'm not kidding. The tortillas here are about a centimeter thick and about five inches wide. The fried chicken is not your Kentucky Fried chicken, but I think I'm getting used to it. You guys need to experience the buses here. Thats something else.
I love you all . Good to here things are going good back home. Three months in the field is coming up soon. I guess that means I can brag to Rob right???? I have almost 5 months out. Whooo hoo its going by fast.
I am thankful for the blessings of the Lord and protecting me out here. Always acknowlege him and he will take care of you. Take care and build your testimonies.
