It has been snowing here, but nothing has been sticking. Its really cold, too. Not fun, but there has been a few memorable things happen this week. First, I got to teach my teacher the first discussion as a teacher not as investigator point of view. That was really cool and I felt the Spirit in a totally new way than before. I had a feeling of complete joy and happiness. Next, I was in the referral center this week and did some chatting with people on mormon.org. That was real cool. The first few chats were stupid questions like, can you kill a spider for me or I think I love my doggie. Just weird stuff. Then last night someone got on and asked what i think to be a golden question. Why are we here on earth and does God have a plan for me. My companion and I started typing the first discussion and the lady was taking it very well. Half way through she asked us if we could teach her how to pray. So we taught her and it was amazing. It made me refelct on the words of a prophet and "how great your joy will be if you bring even but one soul unto God". I will write more about this in one of my many letters going out today.
Thanks for printing the responses to your Facebook page about the letters. I think you started a trend here. As focused as we all try to stay, we find ourselves reminiscing from time to time. I guess we are all as focused as the least focused one here. It is like a chain reaction. I'm trying to break that chain. My companion is still very homesick. Does anyone have any ideas on how to deal with this? I know there is good in him, it just gets tiring after a while. I have two great teachers, Hermano Hidalgo and Hermano Simmins. Naturally, they make us speak the language ALL the time. They have helped me so much, though. I thought I knew Spanish before, but now I am learning to be a "local". Lots of memorization and that is tough for me. I pray alot! My knees even hurt.
I get up every morning at 6:30 and go to bed at 10:30. There is gym somewhere in between. Other than that, it has been learning on steroids. The temple has been fun. The Provo temple is alot different than the one in Vegas and every Sunday, even though we can't go in, we can walk around the outside of it. I miss you all and hope to here from you soon.

Elder Proksch,
I am so glad to hear you are handling things so well. Remind your companion that if he will focus on the Lord and serving others, with prayer, he will soon overcome his homesickness.
If you think it is cold in Provo. Try 32 miles up the Provo Canyon in Heber Valley. It is about 5 degrees colder than Provo. I understand how desert rats like us find it an adjustment to the drastic weather change from Las Vegas.
We love you and like our Heavenly Father are well pleased with. Keep the news coming.
Love Grandma and Grandpa Long
