The Fall Season
College and professional football games can be found on the t.v. several times a week now. Apple pies are more prevalent inside the grocery stores. The nights are getting cooler (mostly) and the days are getting shorter. School is in full swing and so are all the activities associated with it. Yes, the fall season is upon us and for us in Las Vegas (as well as those in the southern states) it will only last a couple of months before the cold snap of winter is here. For Alex, it just means "bring a jacket to work" and "prepare something warmer for dinner" before he heads off to his college class after work. It also means that you'll probably see him on his bike a little more, preparing for the century ride coming up. Logan's thoughts on fall are directly related to Halloween and how he can get his hands on some candy. Really, though, fall means that school is breathing down his neck and projects are lining up at his doorstep. He'll probably do Armed Drill again with the JR AFROTC. He's already earned a new rank in his ROTC class. Fall, for Reid means soccer! Unfortunately, his team lost their first game (a surprise after the 2 hr practices every week). Reid and Mom like to welcome fall with an apple pie from Costco...you know the ones...the big ones! Erik enjoys fall because it means that he doesn't have to take another business trip to Denver until January! I think he likes fall because he enjoys decorating the house for Halloween. I like fall because of the change of color in the trees, the boys are back in school, learning as much as they can and simply for the fact that it is not 110 degrees outside! Too bad it doesn't last as long as we would like it to.
