Heating Up!

There is no doubt about it...we're in Las Vegas. The weather is starting to resemble true Southern Nevada temperatures...temperatures in the 90's. Of course, there are other signs that we are in Las Vegas and that it's heating up. For instance, our upstairs air conditioner decided to fail on us (last year it was the downstairs). Since the boys rooms are upstairs, this makes for creative sleeping arrangments where ever there is cool air. Fish tanks as well as hamster cages are under tight scrutiny with warmer habitats. Another sign is that the boys are finding themselves in the pool instead of in front of the X-box. Reid was the first to brave the *cooler* water and his older brothers followed shortly after. Meals on the BBQ are a regular sight, instead of anything from the oven. Cars are definitely much warmer and the windshield is now being covered with a reflective shield. Forget about the hairdo when you get in because the fan from the air conditioning will take care of whatever was left, if the sweat trickling from your forehead won't. But...we actually love the warm weather here in Vegas. It gives us a great excuse to go out on the lake from time to time and practice our belly-flops!
