Spring Break

Yup, this is the week. The long week. The week of mindless recreation and relaxation for children across the country. Spring Break is here. At first, we weren't completely sure if the weather was going to hold out, but it has and that can be a very good thing with three boys in the house. Before the break was even started, Mom had to cut a few "deals" with the boys when it came to "getting things done" and "cutting loose". All they had to do was sacrifice Monday by doing the things Mom asked them to do (ie: clean rooms, scouting assignments, book reports and projects), then they could have the rest of the week to do what they wanted. Monday was a long day for everyone. They managed to hold true to their deal and I think I even heard a "I'm sure glad I got all that done!!" They have gone to the skate park, took a brisk dip in the pool, cleaned out the garage, got together with friends, played X-box, watched a couple of movies, read their books, spent their money at various stores and have SLEPT IN. The most amazing thing about the whole week is that there has been minimal sibling rivalry. We'll have to check their foreheads for fevers...
