Back to Beira

I don't even know where to start.  That Halloween costume that Alex has is top notch.  Very impressive and I love the creativity.  Super jealous about the wands thing.  No, I don't want one, but I do want to see one.  The pictures of the Mt. Charleston hill climb made me seriously trunky.  I really want to ride a bike again.  It's agonizing.  Also, thank you for the Groo Mobile picture.  That thing looks ridiculous!

So, let's get started on this week.  We walked to Angola and back...basically.  Crazy.  I am burnt on my face and my nose is really bad.  I broke a shoe lace which was kinda funny because I really need those shoes that day, but no big.  Next, we about got caught outside in the middle of a thunderstorm and a lightning bolt struck really close to us, which scared us both half to death.  Elder Poyfair screamed like a little girl.  That was super funny.  If that's not all, yesterday we went to our investigators house because her parents had sent us a message that she wasn't doing very well.  First of all, that's kinda weird given the fact that they belong to another church and second, I don't think that they really like us, so after church we went over.  When we got there, they immediately welcomed us in and we all walked into her room.  When we got in the room she started talking in English and Portuguese and asking who sent us.  First off, she has never spoken English with us, let alone, hinted that she knew any.  Next, we told her that her parents had sent for us because they said she wasn't feeling to good.  She asked to see our phone and she took it and threw it out the window.  She started saying weird things in English that didn't make any sense, so we asked her if we could give her a blessing.  She said she wanted one and we tried to give her one, but she kept moving around.  It was nuts.  I finally got my hands on her head with Elder Poyfair and and we gave her a blessing.  She was quiet during the blessing, but as soon as it ended she started back up again.  So we explained a few things about blessings to her father and told them we would come back in a few days.  After we left, I didn't know what to think.  I thought it was a joke, waiting for someone to come out with a camera and say, "Gotcha!" but no one did.  So we called our ZL's and they asked us a few things and what we knew about her situation.  All in all, it was a pretty crazy experience.  I'm just not sure what to make of it.

This week is transfer week and guess what?  I am getting transferred, and so is my companion.  Our area is getting white-washed.  Not really mad about that though because I know it was done for a reason.  Not sure what it is, but I am glad that I don't have to leave my companion with the problem I just mentioned.  That is a relief.

Anyways, so I am going up to Beira again and I am going right to the beach.  That doesn't mean I am going to relax.  I am really excited about this new area and the people that are there with me.  I am still going to be district leader and I will be training again.  The elder's name is Elder Bourne.  Yeah, I know.  I thought the same exact thing.  Is his first name Jason?!  I don't know, but I am really excited to go.

So sorry this letter is so short, but I will send pictures and I have to pack.

 I love you all,
Elder Proksch
