Training DL

How's my favorite family in the whole world?  ha ha ha!  So this week has been a little different.  To start off... the week was good and we had a lot of plans and they kinda fell through when my comp had more foot problems.  That kinda took out all our plans and I ended up going on divisions with the other two elders in the house.  One of them was really trunky because he was going home and it just made it hard to be successful.  Near the end of the week a bunch of new elders got to the mission and guess what?  I'M training !!!!!!  I was so excited and nervous at the same time.  His name is Elder Poyfair.  You say it just like you read it.  A lot  of the people have trouble saying his name, so we joke and say Elder Perfect.  He's a great elder and I can tell he has a desire to do great things.  He's just going through a little culture shock, but he's doing great.  He's from Utah and he played tennis in high school.  He came from the new MTC program where they only have 6 weeks to learn the language and he is doing very well.  Last night we taught a lesson and he did a fair amount of the talking.  So, I am super excited for him.  We also got 2 new elders in the house so there are 6 now and Elder Bender (he's from Vegas) is training as well.  It's his 4th transfer here in Mozambique and that's pretty quick to train.  His companion is native so he's actually going to start learning some language.

That's what's going on and it's super crazy.  Also, I almost forgot... I am the district leader in the house so that is going to be exciting as well.

It's good to hear so much about your goals that you guys are making for the temple.  I am ridiculously excited about seeing the temple video.  I can not wait to go with you guys to go see it.  There are just so many movies I have not seen.  ha ha ha ha!  Seriously, that is one thing I am excited for.  I am also glad you guys had the opportunity to see that video from Mozambique.  That is really cool and it really shows what's going on in Mozambique.  We just had a district conference yesterday and they showed it and the video really brought the spirit into the room.  I think I need to make a copy of it and bring it around with me so I can show people what we are teaching what is going on.  ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zwh5EhQHa0Y (Preview)  *click on link to watch this video from his mission

Next month I will have a year in the field and ten months left in the mission.  That is freaky.  I can't believe how much time has already gone and I still feel like I am learning new things which is good.

On the bag situations, we haven't received any stipulations on what we should use so I think we are still good.  I did get the clothes mended, so I am using them now.  It's great!  I love them and they fit.  P.S.  I love the socks!

Thank you guys for your support and the help that I get.

Love you guys,
Elder Proksch
