Advise for Mom

Well, hi there!

Ha ha ha Oh, that's classic Grandma Proksch. he he Well, I have been having a pretty awesome week. A lot of good experiences. The last two days I have been guided by the Spirit, which is fun. You know, if you let the Spirit guide your life, he can change a lot for you and make things easier. You will be happier and a ton of good will come out of it. So, I would like to invite you all to let the Spirit guide your life. Thats my challenge for you guys this week.

It's good to hear about the bike ride and everyone progressing. It still stings a little to hear about it because I still want to go, but I realize I have other things I need to do. Just some tips for you, Mom. You said that your shoulders hurt after the ride. Well, I'm not going to lie, but it's because you're out of shape. Same thing happened to me when I started. You need to do push ups. It will help and give you some arm strength. Another thing you might say I am crazy or I just like to mess around, but learn to ride without using your hands. It will take a lot of pressure off your back. It's also kinda fun. It will change your position in the saddle and your butt won't hurt so much at times. Just little things I learned on the last bike ride.

Well, this past week I have been dead-beat tired! We woke up at 5 am a few times this past week and went to bed about 11pm almost every night. On Wednesday, we went to bed at 1230 in the morning and woke up at 4 am yesterday. The old missionaries didn't or couldn't sleep, so we suffered there. It has been a busy week do to the changes, but, hey, we made it and now I guess I am going to go home and sleep. It's p-day and that bed time privilege will have been well earned. he he he he.

I've also been working a lot still with the ward and traveling to all different sides of El Salvador. Even went to a hospital to give a blessing. I am just having so much fun in the work. It's awesome! You really need to read the Bible, especially the New Testiment, not because you have to, but because you want to. Jesus is like a Jedi healing people, casting out devils and what not, trying to teach ignorant people. I have really gained a greater appreciation for our Savior and what he has done for me. I want Him to forever be my lighthouse, someone I can look to for guidance and consultation. There is just so much love I feel for Him right now, I can't personally explain it. Just wanted to leave you guys on that spiritual high I am having right now.

P.S. Last week I went to teach with a member in the ward and got to the appointment, not knowing if he had something planned or not. We got into his house and I just felt like we should teach about prayer and faith, so I started off and when I had finished, the brother had a talk prepared about prayer too. After the lesson, I asked him if he had been planning on giving that talk for the lesson and he told me, yes, he had. I then confessed to him that I didn't know why, but just felt like I should talk about prayer. We then looked at each other and knew that the Lord had prepared us and we were prepared because we both listened to the Spirit.

Well guys, I need to go. Still have to write to the Prez.

I love you all take care

Elder Proksch
