Each year it gets a little more gruesome at our home, especially this time of the year. For some reason, the boys feel it is their duty to scare the living life out of trick-or-treaters that come to our door. This year Alex waited in a Grim Reaper outfit by the corner palm tree on the way the front door. His prey were the ones that didn't think he was real. Then there was Reid on the opposite side, closer to the candy bowl...dressed in a black cape, similar to Alex's. His job was to jump out at unsuspecting victims to get a scream. This year the boys invited one of their friends to be involved, so he dressed up in a military camo outfit, laid on the ground close to the front door and casually grabbed people's feet as they walked by. Lastly, there was Logan, sitting slumped at the front door, holding the bowl of candy. Anyone who dared to reach in got a surprise when he would start to get up to scare them. Next year, if Mom has her way, things will be less gruesome. Maybe the boys can put something together that doesn't send guests running away screaming and then returning the next day saying, "You guys were that house with the scary people!"
